It's Setsubun today. "Setsubun" literally means "division of seasons" and this day was the end of winter. On the evening of this day, people eat "Ehoumaki" and throw roasted soybeans inside and outside their houses with a cry of "Oniwa-soto, Fukuwa-uchi!" meaning "Devils out! Good luck in!". As the beans are thrown, it is believed good luck is invited in and bad luck is driven out. It is also customary to eat as many roasted beans as one's age. It is a kind of charm against ill luck.
So I made Ehoumaki for Setsubun's dinner.
Ehoumaki is vinegared rice and ingredients rolled in laver.
I rolled tightly.
It's my Ehoumakis!
I cooked Nabe of mizutaki and cold tofu withurchin, too.
Dinner is ready! Let's eat! At first, We decided wish, and looked to south-southeast and eat them wordlessly.
Eating it without word was hard for me!
And when I turned around,,,,,,,,,
Wow! S ate Winnie‐the‐Pooh !!!
Finally, we threw roasted soybeans.
May Devils went out from our mind. ^^;
Yoon, Sohyun, Happy New Year!!!
My best wishes to you and your family. Have a wonderful year!
